Crypto.com Visa Card Review | Crypto-Explained

In this Crypto.com Visa Card Review we will have a look at the different types of Crypto.com cards, what currencies are supported, and does it worth getting one

Why do you need Crypto.com card?

It would be nice to use crypto assets in everyday purchases and buy goods with Bitcoin and other altcoins.
When the crypto industry exploded in 2017, there were some companies that wanted to cooperate with international payment providers, such as VISA/MasterCard. The most famous among them were
Crypto.com and TenX. Nowadays, after four years, the regulations are gradually becoming clearer, and this
has given these companies the opportunity to issue their own cards. So finally, many fans of
cryptocurrencies, like us, now have the chance to spend cryptos in their daily lives! And in that article,
we want to tell you more about one of the famous debit crypto cards – the Crypto.com visa card. Let’s start!

What is a Crypto.com card?

Crypto.com was founded in 2016 to accelerate the transition of the world to cryptocurrencies. Crypto.com is a Hong Kong-based company with a strong
team of over 130 people. Their main products include Crypto.com App, the best place to buy, sell, and
pay with a Crypto and Crypto.com card, which allows users to pay and be paid in any cryptocurrency,
anywhere, for free, and the MCO Visa card, a metal card with no annual fees.

The card even has a “crypto cashback” feature, which means that for every amount you spend, you get
1% or more of the amount back in the form of CRO tokens. The only condition is so-called
staking. Stake or Staking means locking the CRO tokens in your Crypto.com wallet for a period of 6
months.
During this period, the tokens cant be unlocked. You can then unlock them at any time. However, if you
unlock the CRO prematurely; you will lose many of the benefits that come with staking (such as
cashback).
That card, which the previously known Monaco Coin team offers, works in sync with the Crypto.com
wallet. If you are planning to get a Crypto.com visa Card, the first step is to download the App. Once
you’ve completed the identity verification process, you can go to the “Card” section and look at the various
options available.

What cryptocurrencies does Crypto.com support?

All MCO Visa Card transactions are denominated in fiat currency. All exchanges of cryptocurrencies to
fiat currency occur before users load their Crypto.com visa Card and use it in the visa network. You
can then spend your cryptocurrencies for free at the more than 40 million retailers worldwide that
accept visas.
Consumers also have the ability to spend abroad and receive interbank exchange rates. And with the
Platinum Referral Reward Program, users can receive up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus!

Currently, the Crypto.com visa card supports many cryptos some of them are: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC),
Ripple (XRP), BAT, BNB, TUSD, ENJ.

Which FIAT currencies does Crypto.com support?

The platform supports some FIAT currencies. Supported currencies via bank transfer are 21.  Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), Japanese Yen (JPY), British Pound (GBP), Euro (EUR), Bulgarian Lev (BGN), Canadian Dollar (CAD),  Swiss Franc (CHF), Australian Dollar (AUD), Czech Koruna (CZK), Danish krone (DKK),  Croatian Kuna (HRK), Hungarian Forint (HUF),  Israeli New Shekel (ILS), Norwegian Krone (NOK), New Zealand Dollar (NZD), Polish Zloty(PLN), Romanian Leu (RON), Swedish Krona (SEK), Singapore Dollar (SGD) and South African Rand (ZAR).

Possibility for Immediate Loan or Income from Deposit

Crypto.com Visa Card Review will not be complete if we don’t say a few words about in-app lending and also the possibility of borrowing against your crypto assets.

Borrowing in Crypto.com

Crypto.com announced last year that if someone deposits a cryptocurrency, they can get a loan with the
desired limit. If you want to take credit, the crypto assets you deposit will be used as collateral, and
you’ll receive the loan directly in your crypto wallet. The assets that can be used as collateral are CRO, BTC, ETH, LTC, XLM, EOS, ADA, ALGO, ATOM, VET, LINK, WBTC, XTZ, and DOT.  The minimum credit amount is USD 100, and the
maximum is USD 1 million, both worth of TUSD/PAX/USDC/USDT. Crypto.com does not impose a fixed repayment scheme, monthly fees, late fees, or payment
deadlines. Therefore, consumers can enjoy the flexibility to repay whatever amount they want at any
time during the 12 months upon the start of their credit term. Users who have $40000 in CRO tokens staked in the
App even receive a preferential rate (8% APR). The rate if you don’t stake is 12%. No credit check is required.

Lending in Crypto.com

Another option is to earn interest on your crypto deposit (up to 8% for supported coins or even up to
12% for supported stablecoins). Through the Crypto.com App, users deposit their cryptocurrencies in Crypto
Earn and start receiving interest on a daily basis in their preferred cryptocurrency, starting with BTC,
PAX, and TUSD. There are currently two options for a fixed period – a term of 1 month and three months. But a
flexible holding term is also available. For current interest rates, please check the Crypto.com App.

There are five types of Crypto.com Visa cards (starting with the less exclusive ones), and the privileges you get increase with each
type. By „privileges,“ we mean a higher limit for free ATM withdrawals and greater cashback in
cryptocurrencies. Here are the types of cards:

Crypto.com Midnight Blue Card

Crypto.com Card is the starting point for Crypto.com users. This means you don’t have to stake CRO
tokens to get it. Midnight Blue Card offers 1% cash back for holders of CRO and non-CRO tokens.
You can withdraw up to $200 or exchange $2000 using Interbank interest rates at no additional charge.
You will pay a 2% ATM withdrawal fee and 0.5% Interbank fees if you exceed these limits. Bear in mind that there is a daily limit for ATM withdrawals of $500, and for POS purchases, there is a limit of $10,000
per day.

Crypto.com Ruby Steel Card

You will need to lock 4000 USD in CRO tokens for six months to access the Ruby Steel debit card. This cryptocurrency prepaid
card offers you a 2% cashback on your purchases. You also get a free Spotify subscription. The card also
offers a $25 referral commission.
With crypto.com ruby steel card, you can withdraw up to $ 400 and an interbank rate at $ 4000 at no extra charge (0.5% thereafter). There are no delivery, or monthly annual fees associated with the card.

Crypto.com Jade Green/Royal Indigo Card

If you want to have this mid-level card, you need to lock $4000 in CRO tokens for six months. This brings
with it extra services for LoungeKey ™ Airport Lounge Access and a free subscription to Netflix as well as Spotify. Does it
sound good to you? You receive 3% cashback on your purchases, and you will also receive 10% pa interest on your staked CRO that is paid weekly.
In terms of limits, Crypto.com Jade Green/Royal Indigo card allows you to withdraw up to $800 from ATMs without paying commissions or
to exchange up to $10,000.

Crypto.com Icy White Card

This card is a perfect choice for those who have $40,000 and have no idea what to do with them. That is,
to get this card, you need to lock $ 40K in CRO tokens for half a year. But what will you gain? You get a
plus one for your LoungeKey ™ Airport Lounge Access and a 10% discount on your Expedia reservations. With an Icy White visa card, you also have free Netflix and Spotify, and you will receive 12% pa interest on your staked CRO (paid weekly).
The Icy White Card also offers 5% cashback. For a card of this level, it is surprising that you can
cash out only $1,000 a day without an additional percentage.

Crypto.com Obsidian Black Card

Crypto.com Obsidian Black Card is definitely not for the average customer. You will need to lock in about $400,000 for six
months if you want to access such a card. But despite this enviable price, the benefits are impressive. The downside of this card is that ATM withdrawals are limited to $1000 per month (without a fee).  In addition to receiving everything available from the Icy White Card, you also get a 10%
discount on Airbnb, 8% cash back on purchases, and also a private jet partnership.

Does it worth getting a Crypto.com card?

Crypto.com Visa Card is a prepaid card service that offers high-end metal cards without annual or monthly
fees, up to 8% cashback on all spending, unlimited airport lounge access, and subscription discounts for
popular streaming services.
Also, cards are protected by a series of standard security measures, such as blocking/unblocking
from the Crypto.com App; turn on/off contactless payments and use of ATM; pop-up notifications for
transactions and 24/7 customer support.

It is clear that sooner or later, crypto assets will be widely used. That’s why we think that overall, this
is a great card that allows you to spend crypto assets. And it is better than typical bank cards. If this is
